Why Use Synergy Stakes Hardwood Stakes?
Our mixed hardwood stakes are designed for exceptional durability and strength, providing reliable anchoring for silt fences, filter socks, wattles, and erosion control products.
Hardwood stakes play a vital role in the erosion control industry due to their strength, durability, and versatility. They are commonly used for:
1. Anchoring Silt Fences
Hardwood stakes are used to secure silt fences in place, preventing soil erosion by trapping sediment and allowing water to filter through.
2. Stabilizing Filter Socks (including ArmorSock) and Wattles
These stakes anchor filter socks (mesh tubes filled with compost or other materials) and wattles (straw or coir rolls) to the ground, helping to control sediment flow and reduce runoff.
3. Reinforcing Straw Blankets or Erosion Control Mats
They help secure erosion control blankets and mats to slopes or exposed soils, preventing them from being displaced by wind or water.
4. Supporting Tree Protection
Hardwood stakes can also be used to support tree shelters or guard structures, protecting newly planted trees from erosion or wildlife.
5. Marking Boundaries or Perimeter Control
In construction or agricultural projects, hardwood stakes are used to mark boundaries or control zones for erosion prevention.
6. Temporary Retaining Structures
When installed properly, hardwood stakes can act as temporary retaining supports for soil or debris barriers.
